We are a global leader in data science and AI consulting. Our Dutch office is located on the Laan van Nieuw Oost-Indië in The Hague, close to the city centre.
In the Netherlands, we are a relatively small team made up of people from several nationalities. Everyone knows each other, so the atmosphere is very open and helpful.
Projects are often international, so we regularly collaborate with our colleagues across other geographies, using online tools and technologies.
The opportunities offered give me the possibility to choose the direction in which I want to develop. This is reflected in the variation of the training that I receive. Even though I have been working on a single project since I started, I get the full support to expand into new directions, from software development towards analytics, broadening my skills and experience.
- Jos, Data Analyst
We recruit BETA graduates and postgraduates throughout the year to join our teams working in data science, AI and scientific software solutions.
We also have vacancies for more experienced technical and commercial professionals.
We take training and development seriously.
In the Netherlands, all technical staff receive an annual training allowance of 20 days. You will have an individual training plan to learn new technical and soft skills, often leading to professional qualifications.
Training can take many different forms including taught courses, self study, mentoring, conferences and workshops.
Cortex is an initiative dedicated to the acceleration of AI capabilities and enables individuals to expand their knowledge base and improve their skills in the field.
Staff can apply to take time away from project work and build skills and practical experience in cutting-edge machine learning methods and technologies.
You will be encouraged and supported to tread your own career path based on your aspirations and shaped by the skills you develop and the projects you work on.
We offer excellent future prospects, whether your path is weighted towards technical, project management, consultancy or something else. You are sure to find a rewarding career to match your ambitions.
What I like most is doing interesting, cutting-edge client projects with some of the smartest and friendliest people that exist.
- Jeroen, Senior Consultant
We are proud to reward staff and look after their wellbeing with a competitive remuneration and benefits package.
Mental health is as important to us as physical health. We support every employee and offer a range of resources to help.
All staff receive a competitive remuneration package that includes core benefits like holidays, pension contributions, parental leave pay, life assurance, etc.
In addition to our core benefits, staff can choose from a range of flexible benefits to fit their needs, such as buying additional holidays, bike scheme, internet subscription and devices scheme, and more.
Although I am based on a client site, I meet my colleagues regularly for technical discussions and social events. I also enjoy attending the annual company conference. This provides an opportunity to hear about other projects, technologies and industries in talks given by my colleagues from across the globe.
- Camiel, Data Science Consultant
We believe that making a profit and growing our business goes hand in hand with responsibilities to our local communities, the environment, our employees and our clients. We support and encourage all of our staff to engage with their local communities.
We hold an annual, carbon-neutral conference where staff from all geographies get together for a week of knowledge sharing, training and social events.
We also organise an annual dinner for staff and +1s to attend, paid for by the company.
Every office has its own company-subsidised, staff-led sports and social committee. Whether it is going climbing, the annual family day, a games night or pub-quizzes, our sports and social committee arranges regular activities to suit all interests throughout the year.
In the Hague, we participate in NL Doet every year. Activities completed in past years include the maintenance of a primary school’s green schoolyard, painting, and gardening activities for a local petting zoo.
We also offer financial donations to staff involved in charitable events.
Currently we are unable to employ candidates who require sponsorship to work in the Netherlands. However, we very much welcome international applicants who have or can obtain working rights independently.
We have limited opportunities for internships and work experience due to the client-based and confidential nature of our work.
The process is tailored to different vacancies, but in general these are the steps we follow.
1. Application. The recruitment team reviews applications against current requirements. We will contact you as soon as possible to let you know how your application is progressing.
2. First interview. The first step is an online video call in English or Dutch, depending on the interviewer. The aim is to find out more about you, tell you more about the company and see if we have enough in common to progress to the next stage.
3. Second interview. If selected, you will be invited to visit one of our offices (usually Abingdon in the UK) for a full day. You will meet a range of staff and complete relevant activities to allow us the opportunity to find out more about you, and to give you a feel for what it is like to work here.
4. Offer. If the second interview goes well, we would aim to make a job offer within 1-2 weeks.
